The Best of Drudge at 1:46 pm
I often find the best/most interesting news stories on Drudgereport.com. Today is no exception and I thought I'd share my two favorites:

My crush Blake
I'm crushing on Blake from American Idol, however, I'm NOT digging the new do . . .
Check out his hair blog here. The stylist LOVES freezer hairspray.

RIP George
This "plucky" little dog took on two pit bills - something about rooting for the underdog makes me very sentimental about this story. I cry at all sad dog stories.

I love me a man in uniform!
The Bachelor . . . I usually don't watch this kind of show (unless the bachelor is a construction worker pretending to be a millionaire - because that's flippin' funny) but this year the yummy dish is my style - a man in uniform. Hence I watch the funny/pathetic vyings for his marital intentions.
I also like to read blogs about the shows I'm watching. Grey Matter for Grey's, Hot 99.5 wrap up for AI, BPR for Project Runway, etc. A coworker emailed me the best blog for The Bachelor - so sarcastic, so darn funny (clicky then look for the bachelor link). Tell me you didn't crack up at BBBD and Dead Boyfriend Girl.

Musical Ineptitude
So I went shopping for my brother's birthday and I ended up buying him the Fallout Boy CD (I probably just didn't spell the name correctly) because I recognized the name as being somewhat trendy. This is about how all my music purchases go. I hear one song that I vaguely remember from the radio and I randomly buy the cd if it's on Wal-mart's 9.99 rack. Luckily for my brother, AK (who I defer to as my music aficianado) gave her stamp of approval to then entire Fall Out Boy album.
My most recent album purchases for myself were Gwen Stefani's Sweet Escape and Regina Spektor's (I forget the name). The impressions I have so far are that only the first two songs were any good for Gwen and when they decided to put some on the radio, they were forced into those two songs. Regina, I like more than two. Actually, Samson is one of my favorites and as far as I know, I have not previously heard it on the radio.
I tend to obsess about one song at a time and that's usually after about 1/2 of the world's population has already obsessed and are on to a new song. The song I like at the moment is Gym Class Heroes' Cupid's Chokehold. I tend to hum it while walking to the printer. There's some irony here too - I looked at their concert schedule and lo and behold they will be playing at Susquehanna Univ. and Penn, short drives from my old university. I tried to get people to go with me, but they refused saying that we were too old for spring flings at colleges. So I looked at the rest of their schedule and they'll be in Australia the rest of the summer. Sigh.

stupid blogger
switched over to the new and somehow 4 of the same post i thought never published suddenly appeared - weird. it's funny to see the two though - after i lost the first one, i let it sit for a week before trying to recreate it - strange how some ideas stick and some don't - i like the bit about being a rock star (especially in light of izzy's proclamation last week) from the first one and i wonder why it didn't stick . . .

Ice Ice Baby
wooooooo! it's an ice day! i feel like a kid again - i was checking my emails all morning t osee about closings, alternately running to look out the window, all while still in my pajamas and my hair quite the bed head mess - gonna make me some hot chocolate and pancakes soon!
Me and Carmen Electra
Ever feel like they may as well play strip tease music during security screening at the airports? Seriously, I've never played strip poker, but I imagine it going something along the lines of what I have to do at the airport. Off with the jacket, off with the shoes, off with the sweatshirt if it zips . . . that's annoying enough. But then I've got to juggle all the other things they make me unpack - laptop, liquids, etc. For real, it's a little on the ridiculous side.

Making like Carmen Electra
Anybody else feel like TSA should play strip tease music at the airport while they screen? It was like, off with my boots, then with my coat, then with my sweat shirt - by the end I was in pajama pants and a spaghetti starp tank. Oh, I had like 5 bins worth of crap because of the computer, shoes, carry on bag, second carry on, etc.) I was a rock star getting through with all my stuff in under 5 minutes.

talk about sucking at predictions
i didn't win any money during our office football pool (surprise, surprise) and i didn't correctly predict that they were only going to pick two of the final four on top chef . . .
i've come to the decision that my picks turn out lousy because i don't choose i think will win, i choose who i want to win . . .
idealism, or stupidity?
