One Hot Mess

What these have in common? All of the above can be defined as a "hot mess."

First let us look at the proper definition here.

They obvi need pictures - I humbly suggest the following:
See exhibit A here.
Unfortunately I cannot post pics of my boss lest I be fired . . . thus making me more of a hot mess than I am right now.
Exhibit B = pure awesomeness. A Hot Mess Blog!
Exhibit C is my own blog. I haven't blogged since December. Yikes. But not to worry my little (or non-existent) readership - I'm back like Fergie in Clumsy.

The Little Joys

I hate hate hate going to the bathroom in a public restroom. I chronically hold it and wait for a more pleasant alternative. Simply, I hate the bathroom in general. I take 3 minutes showers and rarely spend time putting on makeup or doing my hair.

But there is a moment in my day that is pretty much like Christmas morning. I have my cup of coffee when I get in to the office, then I make my way to the second stall. If I catch the stall early enough, the seat is up and the water is blue - it's like striking pure gold, a freshly sanitized public bathroom stall. Today I got off schedule and didn't make it at the appropriate time. I reluctantly went just a few minutes ago fully expecting that I would just have to suck it up and use a used potty. Lo and behold!!!! at 10:38 am the second stall was waiting for me in all her blue glory!

It pretty much made my day.

More My Style

It's been a while peeps. Been to Guam, Las Vegas and Miami since last posting, now planning a move to Norfolk. I hadn't been inspired for a while, but man, this one is worth it.

IT is the football fantasy league for those of us who SUCK at football. It's Celebrity fantasy. I pick 10 celebrities and they get me points based on such things as getting jailed, driving drunk, marrying ugly, etc. It's pretty much too cool for school. My only regret is that I didn't get Lindsey Lohan. Spencer Pratt almost makes up for it though.

Link for joining a league:

My super sweet team:
Spencer Pratt
Carrie Underwood
Jennifer Garner
Beyonce Knowles
Rihanna
Matt Damon
Heidi Klum
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Elisabeth Hasselbeck
Stephen Colbert

I know you were wondering . . .

about Lindsey's new anklet. I was interested too. So I read the article linked on Drudge a few days ago and found it both informative and funny. Too bad for you they removed the link and I can't that darn article no matter how much I google "Lindsey alcohol bologna." Anyways - here's the maker's website.

Any here's why I had to google "bologna." Apparently the technology monitors sweat and it can detect if anything is placed between the monitor and the ankle. Apparently people try all sorts of things, paper, wash cloths, and yes, bologna. Though dumb to try to trick the monitor and thus violate your probation, the perpetrator was smart enough to try to mimic skin! Ha!

I know you were wondering too . . .

How does an anklet tell if someone's been drinking? Read about Lindsey's newest fashion statement here and here.

My crush Blake

I'm crushing on Blake from American Idol, however, I'm NOT digging the new do . . .

Check out his hair blog here. The stylist LOVES freezer hairspray.

RIP George

This "plucky" little dog took on two pit bills - something about rooting for the underdog makes me very sentimental about this story. I cry at all sad dog stories.

I love me a man in uniform!

The Bachelor . . . I usually don't watch this kind of show (unless the bachelor is a construction worker pretending to be a millionaire - because that's flippin' funny) but this year the yummy dish is my style - a man in uniform. Hence I watch the funny/pathetic vyings for his marital intentions.

I also like to read blogs about the shows I'm watching. Grey Matter for Grey's, Hot 99.5 wrap up for AI, BPR for Project Runway, etc. A coworker emailed me the best blog for The Bachelor - so sarcastic, so darn funny (clicky then look for the bachelor link). Tell me you didn't crack up at BBBD and Dead Boyfriend Girl.

Musical Ineptitude

So I went shopping for my brother's birthday and I ended up buying him the Fallout Boy CD (I probably just didn't spell the name correctly) because I recognized the name as being somewhat trendy. This is about how all my music purchases go. I hear one song that I vaguely remember from the radio and I randomly buy the cd if it's on Wal-mart's 9.99 rack. Luckily for my brother, AK (who I defer to as my music aficianado) gave her stamp of approval to then entire Fall Out Boy album.

My most recent album purchases for myself were Gwen Stefani's Sweet Escape and Regina Spektor's (I forget the name). The impressions I have so far are that only the first two songs were any good for Gwen and when they decided to put some on the radio, they were forced into those two songs. Regina, I like more than two. Actually, Samson is one of my favorites and as far as I know, I have not previously heard it on the radio.

I tend to obsess about one song at a time and that's usually after about 1/2 of the world's population has already obsessed and are on to a new song. The song I like at the moment is Gym Class Heroes' Cupid's Chokehold. I tend to hum it while walking to the printer. There's some irony here too - I looked at their concert schedule and lo and behold they will be playing at Susquehanna Univ. and Penn, short drives from my old university. I tried to get people to go with me, but they refused saying that we were too old for spring flings at colleges. So I looked at the rest of their schedule and they'll be in Australia the rest of the summer. Sigh.

Yum, Yum

Me dear lord, she was foaming at the mouth
